2015-2026 Ford F-150 Heavy Duty Billet Top Hat - 1.25 inch Lift | Phase 2

The factory top hat supports the shock shaft with a rubber bushing, the main weak point that causes factory top hats to fail, especially with aftermarket springs.

When the top hat fails it can let the shock drop all the way out of the spring bucket and cause expensive damage to other suspension parts. A billet top hat with a uniball removes that weak point.

• Bigger uniball: the standard billet top hat uses a 3/4" standard FK uniball. The Heavy Duty version uses a WSSX14T wide-series 7/8" FK uniball with 17-4 stainless steel races and a 400 series stainless steel ball, nearly double the overall strength.
• Threaded top retainer: the top cap threads into the main body and is held with 4 stainless steel Allen screws so it can't back out. It keeps the uniball ring clip from coming loose under abuse.
• Longer bearing life: the retainer supports the side of the bearing race at its thinnest point, where the center ball puts the most pressure.

Billet aluminum top hats use a serviceable, replaceable uniball. It is pressed into the billet housing we machine, wears over time like any bearing, and can be replaced. How long it lasts varies from customer to customer.

We don't manufacture the uniball. We use industry-leading FK uniballs in all of our suspension components. This top hat uses FK part number WSSX14T: FK WSSX14T replacement uniball.

Does this top hat add lift?

Yes. It adds spring preload for about 1.25" of front lift with the stock spring.

Do I need a lower spring collar or new springs?

No. The top hat adds the preload itself, so no lower spring collar or new spring is needed.

Which F-150 years does it fit?

The 2015 through 2026 Ford F-150 with the factory front shock.

Is the uniball a wear item?

Yes. It is designed to be replaced when it wears. The replacement is FK part number WSSX14T.
