Gen 2 GPS Mounts

The Centre Dash Fold Down GPS Mount (Garmin TREAD XL) is shared across three trucks, because Ford used the same centre dash architecture on all of them:

• Gen 2 Ford Raptor, 2017–2020
• Ford F-150, 2015–2020
• Ford Super Duty, 2017–2021

It is built specifically for the Garmin TREAD XL — the 10-inch overlander and race unit, including the Baja Chase and Baja Race editions.

A GPS is only as reliable as the mount holding it. Two things go wrong with the usual solutions:

• Suction and friction mounts walk loose. A Garmin TREAD XL is a heavy unit, dashes are not flat, and vibration works at a suction cup all day. Off-road they vibrate, sag, and eventually let go.
• Rigid mounts block your view. A screen big enough to read at speed is a screen big enough to be in the way the other 90 percent of the time.

The fold-down design answers both. It bolts to structure rather than sticking to plastic, and it folds flat when you are not navigating, so the screen is not permanently sitting across your forward view or the centre vents.

Will this fit a Gen 3 Raptor?

No. The dash changed for 2021. See Gen 3 GPS Mounts, and for 2024 and up see Gen 3.5 GPS Mounts.

Does it fit a non-Raptor F-150?

Yes — it is listed for the 2015–2020 F-150 and the 2017–2021 Super Duty as well as the Gen 2 Raptor.

Do you make a version for Lowrance units?

For the Gen 3 dash, yes — HDS7 Live and HDS7 Carbon mounts are available there. For the Gen 2 dash we build the TREAD XL version. If you need something else for this dash, call us; we make these in-house.

Does it block the vents?

Not permanently. That is what the fold-down design is for.

Do I need to drill my dash?

Mounting detail is on the product page. These are designed around existing structure.

Made in the USA?

Yes, machined in-house in Mesa, Arizona.
