2027+ Ram TRX Protection kits

• Underbody Protection Skid Plate Kit — the main package covering the vulnerable centre section of the truck: oil pan, transmission, transfer case.
• Rear Differential Skid Plate Kit — the rear diff sits low, it is cast, and replacing it is expensive.
• Rear Shock Skid Kit — protects the base of the rear shocks and their mounts from impact.
• Rear Shock Guard Mud Flap Frame Mount Kit — an 18" x 7" heavy-duty rubber flap on a steel bracket, keeping grit and rock off the shock bodies.

The skids and the mud flap guards solve different problems. The skid stops impacts from below; the guard stops the sandblasting that kills shocks slowly.

The 2027 TRX is new, which means two things for anyone shopping for parts.

First, the aftermarket is thin, and a lot of what does appear early is adapted from something else with new bolt holes. Ours is not — these plates are cut around the 2027 underbody specifically, because we build in-house and do not wait for a supplier to decide the platform is worth tooling for.

Second, nothing here carries over from the 2021–2024 truck. It is a different platform. If you are moving from an older TRX, do not assume your old plates transfer.

Do 2021-2024 TRX skid plates fit the 2027 truck?

No. New platform, new parts. Order by model year.

What should I fit first?

The rear differential skid, on any truck that leaves pavement. After that it depends on terrain — rocks argue for the underbody kit, sustained high-speed dirt argues for the shock guards.

Do these affect ground clearance?

Minimally. They are designed to follow the existing underbody line rather than hang below it, so what changes is that a catch point becomes a sliding surface.

Is drilling or welding required?

No. Bolt-on using factory mounting points.

Aluminium or steel?

Material and weight are listed on each product page. We use aluminium where coverage and weight matter, steel where impact energy justifies it.
