Gen 3 GPS Mounts

Gen 3 Raptor and F-150 GPS Mounts

Fold-down centre dash GPS mounts for the 2021 and up Gen 3 Ford Raptor and F-150 — Garmin TREAD XL, Lowrance HDS7 Live and HDS7 Carbon.

Machined in Mesa, Arizona to fit this specific dash. Not a universal bracket bent to fit.

Match the Mount to Your Unit

Three mounts, because three different units need three different cradles. Order by exact model.

Your unit Mount Years
Garmin TREAD XL Centre dash fold down Gen 3 Raptor & 2021+ F-150
Lowrance HDS7 Carbon Centre dash fold down 2021–2023 F-150 & Gen 3 Raptor
Lowrance HDS7 Live Centre dash fold down 2021–2024 F-150 & Gen 3 Raptor

The HDS7 Live and the HDS7 Carbon are different physical units. They are not interchangeable and neither are their mounts. Check the badge on your unit before ordering — this is the mistake we see most often on this page.

Why a Fold-Down Mount

A GPS is only as reliable as the mount holding it. Two things go wrong with the usual solutions:

  • Suction and friction mounts walk loose. A Garmin TREAD XL is a heavy unit, dashes are not flat, and vibration works at a suction cup all day. Off-road they vibrate, sag, and eventually let go.
  • Rigid mounts block your view. A screen big enough to read at speed is a screen big enough to be in the way the other 90 percent of the time.

The fold-down design answers both. It bolts to structure rather than sticking to plastic, and it folds flat when you are not navigating, so the screen is not permanently sitting across your forward view or the centre vents.

Gen 3 GPS Mount FAQs

Will a Gen 2 dash mount fit my Gen 3 truck?

No. The dash changed between generations and these mounts are dash-specific.

Will these fit a 2024 Gen 3.5 Raptor?

No — the dash changed again. The Gen 3.5 and 2024+ F-150 take their own TREAD XL mount. See Gen 3.5 Raptor GPS Mounts.

Which Lowrance do I have?

The model is printed on the front bezel of the unit. HDS-7 Live and HDS-7 Carbon are distinct products with different housings; ordering by brand alone will get you the wrong bracket.

Why do racers use a Lowrance chartplotter instead of a GPS?

Because of the software around it. HDS units run rally-style GPX route files through tools like LeadNav, which is how desert race courses are actually navigated. The Garmin TREAD XL is the more turnkey overlanding answer.

Does it block my vents or screen?

It folds flat when not in use, which is the point of the design.

Do I need to drill my dash?

Mounting detail is on each product page. These are designed around existing structure.
