Which Beam Pattern Do You Actually Need?

Beam pattern matters more than raw lumens. Pick by the job the light has to do:

Spot — a tight, long-throw beam for high-speed desert and chase work. This is what most of our racers run up top.
Driving / Combo — a wider spread that fills in the middle distance and the edges of the road. Better for trail and forest two-track.
Flood — short, wide light for work areas, reversing, and lighting up the pits.

Most builds run a pair of spots for distance plus a combo or flood pair to fill in close. Running all spot leaves a dark hole in front of the truck; running all flood leaves you outdriving your lights.

The Brands We Carry

NACHO Offroad Technology

NACHO Grande and Quatro lights in SUPREME 80, 100 and 150 output levels, sold singly, in pairs and in bundles. The Grande SUPREME 150 Racer Spot is the long-throw option for chase trucks.

Rigid Industries

360-Series RGBW pods in 4, 6 and 9 inch, with spot and drive optics and RGBW backlighting so you can change the accent color from your phone. Also the Adapt XP Extreme powersports pod, which changes beam pattern electronically as you drive.

Baja Designs

LP Pro auxiliary pods — LP4, LP6 and LP9 — in spot with clear lens and amber backlight, plus the XL Pro. The LP series is the standard on a lot of race and pre-run trucks.

These are partner brands we stock and sell. Foutz Motorsports does not manufacture the lights themselves — we build the mounting hardware that fits them to your specific truck.

Mounting Hardware We Machine In-House

A light is only as good as what holds it. We build vehicle-specific light mounts here in Mesa so you are not drilling your bumper or zip-tying pods to a grille:

Front light mount kits for the Ford Super Duty that use the stock bumper.
Bed organizer chase rack add-on light mount kits that put rear-facing light on top of a modular bed organizer.
Antenna and accessory mounts that share the same hardware.

All of it is laser cut, CNC bent and finished in-house. Buy the light and the bracket in one order and it goes on in an afternoon.

Off-Road Lighting FAQs

Are these lights street legal?

Auxiliary off-road lights are generally sold for off-highway use and most states require them to be covered or switched off on public roads. Rules vary by state, so check yours. The lights ship with covers where the manufacturer provides them.

How many amps do LED pods draw?

Modern LED pods draw far less than the old halogen and HID setups — a pair of 4 inch pods is a small load on a stock charging system. A full row of high-output racer spots is not. Draw is listed on each product page; if you are stacking six or more lights, wire them through a relay or a switch panel rather than off an accessory circuit.

What does RGBW backlighting do?

The Rigid 360-Series pods have a separate ring of color LEDs behind the main optic. The white work light is unchanged; the backlight is an accent you can set to any color, usually from an app. It is cosmetic, not additional usable light.

Do you sell the wiring harness?

Harnesses are included or offered as an option by each manufacturer, and that is listed on the product page. If a kit needs a harness we will tell you before it ships.
