Shocks And Springs

Race Shocks and the Springs That Match Them

Coilovers, multi-tube bypass shocks, coil springs and leaf packs for Ford Raptor, Bronco, Ranger Raptor, Super Duty, Ram TRX and RHO — from FOX Factory Race, ADS, King, Carbon Shock Technologies, Eibach and Geiser.

A shock and a spring are one system. Getting the spring rate wrong will make an expensive shock feel worse than the factory part it replaced.

Leaf packs

ICON multi-rate leaf packs with add-in leaf kits for leaf-sprung Raptors.

Getting rate right

Spring rate has to match vehicle corner weight, shock stroke and how the truck is used. A heavier front bumper or a winch changes the answer. If you are unsure, tell us the build and we will help you pick.

How This Differs From Our Shocks Collection

Two collections cover overlapping ground, deliberately:

This page leans toward race shock packages and the springs that pair with them — the parts you buy when you are building a suspension rather than repairing one.

Shocks and Bump Stops leans toward factory-replacement shocks and the bump stop and limit strap kits that control the ends of travel.

If you are not sure which you need, start with the bump stop side. It is cheaper, and on a mostly stock truck it usually makes a bigger difference.

Shocks & Springs FAQs

What is the difference between an internal and external bypass shock?

Both let oil route around the piston through part of the stroke. An external bypass runs those passages in tubes on the outside of the shock body, which makes them adjustable and easy to service. An internal bypass keeps them inside the body — cleaner packaging, less external adjustment.

Do I need a coilover and a bypass, or just one?

On a serious desert setup, the front commonly runs a coilover carrying the spring plus a bypass controlling damping. Lighter builds run a single coilover per corner. It depends on weight, travel and budget.

What spring rate do I need?

It depends on corner weight, shock stroke and intended use, not on the truck model alone. Tell us the build — bumper, winch, tire size, terrain — and we will spec it.

Can I fit race shocks to a stock-geometry truck?

Sometimes, but it is often the wrong order of spending. Stock control arms limit travel regardless of shock quality. Ask us before buying a shock package your geometry cannot use.

How long does shipping take?

In-stock items normally ship within 48 hours. Shock packages built to order or custom valved typically run longer — 4–6 weeks is common. We ship to the United States and Canada.
