Dual, single and flat-deck options for carrying a full-size spare in the bed, which one fits your truck, and what to know before running 35s on a Ranger Raptor.
The Short Answer
A bed-mounted spare tire carrier holds one or two full-size spares in the truck bed, standing upright or laid flat, strapped down with your jack and fuel close by. Owners move the spare into the bed when they upsize their tires and want a matching spare, when they want a second spare for remote trips, or when they want the spare where they can reach it fast. FMI builds three kinds: a modular bed organizer for the Raptor, F-150 and Ranger Raptor, a quick-release single or dual tire carrier that fits any full-size truck and holds tires up to 40", and a simple flat deck for the Raptor and F-150 that you strap a tire or gear to.

Why Carry the Spare in the Bed?
Bigger Tires
Move up a tire size and you want a spare that matches. A bed carrier is built around full-size off-road tires, not the factory spare.
A Second Spare
Remote trips and desert runs are where one flat turns into two. A dual carrier stands two spares side by side.
Fast Access
The spare is right there in the bed, strapped in, instead of under the truck where it collects dirt and is hard to reach on a trail.
Everything Together
Mount the jack and fuel jugs on the same organizer, so the gear you need for a flat is all in one place.

Which Bed Carrier Fits How You Use the Truck?
Buy Only What You Need
The modular organizers are built from sections. Start with the frame and one tire mount, then add cargo trays, fuel jugs, a jack mount or a second tire when your use changes. You do not have to replace the frame to change the layout. For the full rundown on the Raptor and F-150 system, see The Best Truck Bed Organizer for the Ford Raptor & F-150.
Ranger Raptor Spare Tire Carrier
The Ranger and Ranger Raptor get their own modular bed organizer, built for 2024 through 2026 trucks. The popular setup stands two spares up with a jack and gas cans between them. Take the middle uprights out and you have an open, flat floor for a tire laid flat or other cargo.
It is sized for tires up to 35" tall and 12.5" wide on standard-width wheels, which covers the 35s most owners step up to. It is built from US steel and aluminum, laser cut, CNC bent, fixture welded and powder coated black, with stainless hardware on the main sections. Dual fuel jugs and a quick-release aluminum jack kit bolt to holes already in the organizer. Installing the organizer itself requires drilling the bed.

Bed Spare Tire Carrier FAQ
Will a 35" spare fit in the factory spot under a Ranger Raptor?
We have not tested it, so we cannot say. If you want a 35" spare without guessing, the FMI Ranger Raptor bed organizer holds tires up to 35" tall and 12.5" wide on standard-width wheels.
What size tire fits the Ranger Raptor bed organizer?
Up to 35" tall and 12.5" wide on standard-width wheels. It fits 2024 through 2026 Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor trucks.
Can I carry two spare tires in the bed?
Yes. The modular organizers stand two spares upright with room for a jack and fuel jugs, and the dual quick-release carrier holds two tires up to 40".
Will a spare in the bed fit under my tonneau cover?
On a Raptor or F-150, the modular organizer's lay-flat layout sits low enough for a bed cover. Roll-up and folding tonneau covers also close over the simple flat deck. Two spares standing upright will not fit under a cover.
Can I take the carrier out when I need the bed?
The quick-release carriers come out in minutes with a quick pin and leave only a small cleat that sits nearly even with the bed ribs, so the bed is still usable.
Does the quick-release carrier fit my truck?
It adjusts side to side to fit full-size truck beds of any brand, and it also works on a flat bed or trailer. For a Ranger or Ranger Raptor, use the Ranger modular organizer.
Do I have to drill my bed?
It depends on the carrier. The simple flat deck bolts to the factory bed holes with no drilling. The quick-release carrier mounts and the Ranger and Ranger Raptor bed organizer do require drilling. For the Raptor and F-150 modular organizer, call us and we will walk you through the install.
How are the tires held down?
With ratchet straps through the uprights. The Ranger organizer is designed for Y-strap style ratchet straps.
