2027 Ram TRX Billet Upper Control Arm Kit - stock length

Description

The factory upper control arm runs on rubber bushings and a ball joint, and both are compromises Ram made for ride quality on pavement. Replace them with a uniball and rod ends and the front end stops moving around underneath you.

CNC machined from billet aluminum in-house at Foutz Motorsports in Mesa, Arizona. Stock length, direct bolt-on to the factory spindle, available raw or anodized.

What the Kit Changes

  • 1.25" FK uniballs at the spindle in place of the factory upper ball joint — more articulation, more load capacity, and a wear part you replace on its own
  • 7/8" FK rod ends at the frame instead of rubber bushings, so caster and camber become adjustable and the arm loads up immediately rather than after the bushing deflects
  • 17-4 stainless steel spacers at every pivot, for corrosion resistance without losing strength
  • Direct bolt-on to the stock spindle — no spindle swap, no cutting
  • Serviceable by design — replace a rod end or a uniball when it wears rather than buying a whole arm
  • Keeps the adaptive shocks working — the kit includes left and right wheel position sensor mount plates

Billet or Fabricated — Which Upper Arm

Both replace the factory upper arm, both put a uniball at the spindle, and both are adjustable at the frame. The difference is how they are made and how they look.

  • Billet — CNC machined from solid aluminum, raw or anodized. This page. Choose it if the finish under the truck matters to you.
  • Fabricated — 4130 chromoly tube and plate, MIG welded in fixtures. See the 2027 fabricated upper arm kit.

What's in the Kit

  • (1) Right and (1) Left billet aluminum upper control arm
  • 7/8" FK rod ends with 17-4 stainless steel spacers
  • 1.25" FK uniballs with 17-4 stainless steel spacers
  • (2) FMI billet bearing caps
  • (1) Right and (1) Left wheel position sensor mount plate
  • Complete hardware kit

Finish & Care

Raw billet aluminum, or anodized in Fox Orange, black or blue.

Anodizing is a surface finish, not paint. Wash off desert dust and road salt, and keep harsh acidic wheel cleaners off the arms — those are the fastest way to dull an anodized finish.

Fitment

2027 Ram 1500 TRX, stock length, factory spindle.

The 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 TRX is a different generation and uses its own billet upper control arm kit. Ram did not build a TRX for 2025 or 2026, so a part listed for 2021-2024 does not carry forward to the 2027 truck.

Questions

Do I need to change the spindle?

No. These bolt directly to the factory spindle.

Will the adaptive suspension still work?

Yes. The kit includes left and right wheel position sensor mount plates, which is what the shock control module reads.

Do I need an alignment afterward?

Yes. The rod ends at the frame are how caster and camber get set, so plan on an alignment once the arms are on.

What happens when the uniball wears out?

You replace the uniball, not the arm. Same for the rod ends. That is the point of the serviceable design.

Is this stock length or extended?

Stock length. It keeps the factory geometry rather than widening the track.

Does this fit a 2021-2024 TRX?

No. See the Fitment section above for that truck's version.

ANODIZED CARE & DISCLAIMER:   read before ordering
⚠️ WARNING:
Improper cleaning can permanently damage the anodic coating on billet aluminum parts, causing fading, staining, or discoloration.

SOAPS / CLEANERS THAT DAMAGE :
High-pH (alkaline) soaps, degreasers, and acidic wheel cleaners can fade, stain, or strip anodized aluminum, especially when they contain sodium hydroxide (lye) or other strong acids. Heavy-duty fast-acting alkaline cleaners designed for engine bays or wheels should not be used on anodized surfaces.

❌ WHAT TO AVOID :
High-pH (alkaline) cleaners
• Heavy-duty degreasers
• Wheels / engine bay cleaners
• Oven cleaners (e.g., Yellow Cap, Easy-Off)
• Products containing sodium hydroxide (lye)
• Damage the anodic coating
Hot Surfaces
• Never wash in direct sunlight, as heat accelerates chemical damage
 Acidic cleaners
• Wheel cleaners with strong acids
• Nitric or sulfuric-based cleaners
• Aggressive aluminum cleaners
 Aluminum brighteners or etchers

• Products designed for raw or polished aluminum can strip the anodized coating

✅ HOW TO PROTECT ANODIZED ALUMINUM:

pH-neutral soaps
• only use cleaners with a pH between 6–8
Wash on cool surfaces
• Avoid direct sunlight or hot parts
Test small areas first
• Always try new products on a small, hidden area
Safe Alternatives:
• Isopropyl alcohol (used carefully and sparingly)
• Mild Automotive Car Wash Soap

⚠️ RESPONSIBILITY NOTICE:
Damage caused by improper cleaning chemicals or detailing products is the sole responsibility of the owner. Keeping your anodized parts clean with the right products will help maintain their finish and extend their lifespan.
