Why the Stock Coil Bucket Fails
Ford's OEM coil bucket is stamped steel — built for stock suspension loads and normal driving. The moment you add larger tires, upgraded shocks, higher spring rates, or real off-road miles, the geometry starts working against you. Stress concentrates at weld seams, the thin walls flex under lateral shock loads, and eventually you get cracks, deformation, or failure at the shock tower.

This is a full OEM-out replacement — the factory stamped-steel coil bucket comes out and the FMI-fabricated kit goes in. Built for Gen 3 Raptor builds running long-travel suspension, upgraded shocks, higher spring rates, or serious off-road mileage. Every piece is laser-cut and MIG welded in-house at Foutz Motorsports.

The factory coil bucket on the 2021–2026 Ford Raptor is a thin stamped steel component designed for OEM suspension loads. Under aggressive off-road use, larger tires, long-travel suspension systems, and repeated high-impact driving, it can develop cracks, fatigue, and deformation over time.
