2010-2014 Gen 1 Raptor Billet Upper Arm Kit - stock length

Description

A stock-length billet aluminum upper control arm kit for the 2010–2014 Gen 1 Ford F-150 Raptor, designed to bolt on with the factory spindle. Each arm is CNC machined from scratch in-house at our Mesa, Arizona facility, with 7/8" FK rod ends at the frame mounts and a 1.25" FK uniball at the spindle.

The upper control arm locates the top of the spindle, so its joints decide how well the front wheel holds its angle under load. This kit replaces those pivots with a uniball and rod ends while keeping factory arm length.

What Is In The Kit

  • 1 right side and 1 left side billet aluminum upper control arm
  • 7/8" FK rod ends at the frame mounts, with 17-4 stainless steel spacers
  • 1.25" FK uniball at the spindle, with 17-4 stainless steel spacers
  • 2 FMI billet bearing caps
  • 1 right side and 1 left side wheel position sensor mount plate
  • 1 sensor location drill template
  • 1 hardware kit

Why Billet Upper Arms

The Gen 1 Raptor upper control arm takes load from every bump and landing. Movement in its joints lets the wheel change angle when it should not. A uniball at the spindle and rod ends at the frame give each pivot a defined, solid joint.

The kit keeps stock length and works with the factory spindle, so it upgrades the arm and its joints without turning the truck into a long travel build.

How It Is Built

  • Billet aluminum arms, CNC machined from scratch in-house at our Mesa, Arizona facility.
  • 7/8" FK rod ends at the frame mounts.
  • 1.25" FK uniball at the spindle.
  • 17-4 stainless steel spacers, machined in-house for every uniball and rod end, for long life and strength.
  • FMI billet bearing caps, one per arm.

100% made in the USA.

Fitment

Fits the Gen 1 Ford F-150 Raptor, model years 2010–2014.

Stock length, designed to work with the factory spindle.

Installation

The arms are a direct bolt-on part designed around the stock spindle. The kit also includes right and left wheel position sensor mount plates and a sensor location drill template, used to locate the factory wheel position sensor on the new arms.

Finishes

Four options: raw billet aluminum, black anodized, FOX orange anodized and blue anodized.

Kits are built in-house in batches, and availability can differ by finish. Contact FMI for the current lead time on the finish you want.

ANODIZED CARE & DISCLAIMER:   read before ordering
⚠️ WARNING:
Improper cleaning can permanently damage the anodic coating on billet aluminum parts, causing fading, staining, or discoloration.

SOAPS / CLEANERS THAT DAMAGE :
High-pH (alkaline) soaps, degreasers, and acidic wheel cleaners can fade, stain, or strip anodized aluminum, especially when they contain sodium hydroxide (lye) or other strong acids. Heavy-duty fast-acting alkaline cleaners designed for engine bays or wheels should not be used on anodized surfaces.

❌ WHAT TO AVOID :
High-pH (alkaline) cleaners
• Heavy-duty degreasers
• Wheels / engine bay cleaners
• Oven cleaners (e.g., Yellow Cap, Easy-Off)
• Products containing sodium hydroxide (lye)
• Damage the anodic coating
Hot Surfaces
• Never wash in direct sunlight, as heat accelerates chemical damage
 Acidic cleaners
• Wheel cleaners with strong acids
• Nitric or sulfuric-based cleaners
• Aggressive aluminum cleaners
 Aluminum brighteners or etchers

• Products designed for raw or polished aluminum can strip the anodized coating

✅ HOW TO PROTECT ANODIZED ALUMINUM:

pH-neutral soaps
• only use cleaners with a pH between 6–8
Wash on cool surfaces
• Avoid direct sunlight or hot parts
Test small areas first
• Always try new products on a small, hidden area
Safe Alternatives:
• Isopropyl alcohol (used carefully and sparingly)
• Mild Automotive Car Wash Soap

⚠️ RESPONSIBILITY NOTICE:
Damage caused by improper cleaning chemicals or detailing products is the sole responsibility of the owner. Keeping your anodized parts clean with the right products will help maintain their finish and extend their lifespan.
