Description
A bump stop is what stands between the front suspension and a hard bottom-out — it takes the worst of the hit before the suspension runs out of travel, which is the difference between a rough section you drive through and one you slow down for.
This is the weld-on front bump stop can for the 2027 Ram TRX, engineered around the Foutz Motorsports fabricated lower control arms and the bump pad built into them.
How It's Built
- 2.5" diameter, 2.5" stroke bump stop mounted directly to the frame for maximum strength
- Weld-on can, MIG welded in-house and shipped raw
- Lands on the integrated bump pad built into the Foutz fabricated lower control arm — no separate strike plate to add
- Your choice of bump stop: FOX, King, ADS or Carbon, selected in the options above
Mounting to the frame rather than to the arm is what lets the can take a full-compression hit without loading the control arm in a direction it was not designed for.
Installation — Welding Required
- Welding the bump stop mount to the frame is required.
- Installation should be performed by a qualified welder or fabricator.
- The can ships raw, so plan on finishing it after it is welded in.
This is not a bolt-on part. If you are not set up to weld on a frame, budget for a shop to do it.
Fitment
2027 Ram 1500 TRX running the Foutz Motorsports fabricated lower control arms.
The 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 TRX is a different generation and uses the 2021-2024 front bump stop mount kit. There was no TRX built between those two runs.
Questions
Can I run this on stock lower control arms?
No. The bump stop lands on the bump pad built into the Foutz fabricated lower control arm, which the factory stamped arm does not have.
Is the bump stop itself included?
Yes. Select FOX, King, ADS or Carbon in the options above and the matching bump stop ships with the mount.
Can I install it myself?
Only if you weld. The can has to be welded to the frame, so this is a job for a qualified welder or fabricator.
What size bump stop is it?
2.5" diameter with 2.5" of stroke.
Does this fit a 2021-2024 TRX?
No. See the Fitment section above for that truck's version.
