2021-2024 & 2027 Ram TRX Billet Aluminum Rear Suspension Upper Arms

Description

The rear upper arms on their own — for a 2021-2024 or 2027 Ram TRX that only needs the top half done. These are the arms that carry the ball post for the wheel position sensor, so this is the pair that keeps the truck reading rear suspension position correctly.

CNC machined in-house at Foutz Motorsports in Mesa, Arizona, and finished raw or anodized.

How They're Built
  • 1" FK uniballs where the factory arm uses a rubber bushing — the bushing is what deflects under load and lets the axle move around, and the uniball is what stops it
  • Aluminum ball post for the wheel position sensor, so the truck keeps reading rear suspension position and the adaptive shocks keep working
  • Custom machined 17-4 stainless steel spacers sized to drop into the stock mount locations, so there is no bracketry to change
  • Urethane wobble stopper at the front mounts to keep the arms in alignment
  • Billet aluminum, available raw or in Fox Orange, Black or Blue anodize

Kit includes: (2) FMI billet aluminum rear upper arms with spacers and hardware.

Finish & Care

Available raw billet or anodized in Fox Orange, Black or Blue.

Anodizing is a surface finish, not paint. Wash off desert dust and road salt, and keep harsh acidic wheel cleaners away from the arms — those are the fastest way to dull an anodized finish.

Fitment

Fits the Ram 1500 TRX, model years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2027, in the factory rear mount locations.

The rear upper arms are the same part on both TRX generations. Ram did not build a TRX for 2025 or 2026.

Questions

Will the rear ride height sensor still work?

Yes. The upper arm carries the ball post for the wheel position sensor, which is what keeps the truck reading rear suspension position correctly.

Are the lower arms included?

No, this is the upper pair only. See the options in the section above for lowers or the complete kit.

Do I need to modify the frame?

No. The spacers are machined to fit the stock rear mount locations.

Is the ball post aluminum or steel?

Aluminum on these billet upper arms. Fabricated rear upper links use a steel ball post welded in instead.

Does this fit a 2021-2024 TRX?

Yes. The rear upper arms are the same part for the 2021-2024 TRX and the 2027 TRX.

 Improper cleaning can permanently damage the anodic coating on billet aluminum parts, causing fading, staining, or discoloration. 

SOAPS / CLEANERS THAT DAMAGE :
High-pH (alkaline) soaps, degreasers, and acidic wheel cleaners can fade, stain, or strip anodized aluminum, especially when they contain sodium hydroxide (lye) or other strong acids. Heavy-duty fast-acting alkaline cleaners designed for engine bays or wheels should not be used on anodized surfaces.

High-pH (alkaline) cleaners
• Heavy-duty degreasers
• Wheels / engine bay cleaners
• Oven cleaners (e.g., Yellow Cap, Easy-Off)
• Products containing sodium hydroxide (lye)
• Damage the anodic coating 
Hot Surfaces
• Never wash in direct sunlight, as heat accelerates chemical damage
 Acidic cleaners
• Wheel cleaners with strong acids
• Nitric or sulfuric-based cleaners
• Aggressive aluminum cleaners
 Aluminum brighteners or etchers

• Products designed for raw or polished aluminum can strip the anodized coating

✅ HOW TO PROTECT ANODIZED ALUMINUM:

pH-neutral soaps 
• only use cleaners with a pH between 6–8
Wash on cool surfaces
• Avoid direct sunlight or hot parts
Test small areas first
• Always try new products on a small, hidden area
Safe Alternatives:
• Isopropyl alcohol (used carefully and sparingly)
• Mild Automotive Car Wash Soap
