2017-2020 Ford Raptor 20 Inch Rear Travel Bed Organizer & Bed Cage Kit - Gen 2

This is what separates this kit from a plain bed organizer.

Adding the bed cage shock mounts brings the rear shocks up through the bed floor and mounts them to the cage structure. That gets the Gen 2 rear to roughly 20 inches of wheel travel — a different truck from the one that left the factory.

Shock sizes it takes

The mounts are sized for the shocks people actually run at this travel: 4.4", 4.0", 3.5" or 3.0" bypass. Your choice, and the mounts suit all four.

Finishing the rear

Add rear springs and shackles to complete the package. At that point the rear suspension is a deliberate design rather than a stock leaf pack being asked to do more than it should.

One spare, laid flat

Low enough to sit under a bed cover, which keeps the truck looking close to stock with the spare out of sight.

Two spares, standing upright

The popular one. Both spares stand vertically with room alongside for a jack and gas cans — the chase truck layout, for anyone going somewhere a single spare is optimistic.

Because the system is modular, picking one now does not stop you changing to the other later.

Running a 2021-up Gen 3 truck? The equivalent is the Gen 3 rear bed cage kit, which does the same job on the Gen 3 five link rear and gets 17 inches of travel.

How much rear wheel travel does this give?

About 20 inches with the bed cage shock mounts fitted and a suitable shock and spring package.

What shocks does it take?

4.4", 4.0", 3.5" or 3.0" bypass shocks — the mounts suit all four.

Do I have to run the shock mounts?

No. It works as a bed organizer on its own, and the shock mounts are the upgrade when you are ready for them.

Can I still carry a spare under a bed cover?

Yes, in the lay-flat configuration.

Can I carry two spares?

Yes — both stand upright with room for a jack and gas cans between them.

Can I change the configuration later?

Yes. That is the point of the modular design.

Does it fit a Gen 3 Raptor?

No, this is the Gen 2 kit. The Gen 3 bed cage is the 2021-up version.
