Description
The bottom of the rear differential cover seal is a known weak point on trucks that see real off-road use. A rock does not have to punch through the cover to end your day — it only has to catch the lower back plate and work the gasket loose, and then you are watching gear oil run out on the trail.
This race-inspired differential skid plate covers exactly that. Built for the 2027 Ram TRX rear axle.
Why the Diff Cover Seal
- Protects the rear differential cover seal — a common weak point on off-road trucks, and the reason this part exists
- Shields the lower back plate, so rocks cannot catch it and loosen the gasket seal
- Protects the rear axle from rock damage more generally
It is affordable insurance measured against a diff rebuild, and cheap next to a recovery.
Before You Order — Diff Cover Check
This skid will not work with aftermarket diff covers unless specified.
Aftermarket covers change the shape and the bolt pattern the skid has to clear, so if you have already fitted one, contact us with what it is before ordering rather than assuming it will fit around it.

This is one of the parts that crosses the generation gap. Most TRX suspension parts do not, so check the years on each listing rather than assuming.

Not unless we have specified it for that cover. Send us the cover you are running and we will tell you.
Does it fit a 2021-2024 TRX as well?
Yes. This part covers 2027 and 2021-2024 Ram TRX.
Can I install it myself?
We recommend a professional or certified mechanic do the install.
What else is worth protecting back there?
