Description
A rear lower shock skid kit for the 2021 and newer Ford Bronco with the base model shock or the Sasquatch Bilstein shock. Made from 3/16" laser cut, CNC bent steel, it protects the bottom of each rear shock and the rear axle shock mounts from rock damage.
The lower shock mount sits under the axle, where it takes hits the rest of the axle clears. This bolt-on skid gives that corner something solid to slide on, so the shock and its bracket are not the first things to meet a rock.
What Is In The Kit
- 2 shock skid welded assemblies
- 2 longer shock bolts and nuts
- 4 side mount bolts
Why Protect The Lower Shock Mount
The rear shocks bolt to the axle at their lowest point. On a rocky trail, that mount and the bottom of the shock are exposed to direct strikes. A hit there can bend the shock eye, damage the axle bracket or dent the shock body.
The skid wraps the bottom of the shock and the axle mount, so the impact goes into the steel skid instead, and the skid slides the Bronco over the obstacle.

Fitment
Fits the 2021 and newer Ford Bronco running either:
- the base model rear shock, or
- the Sasquatch package Bilstein rear shock
Does not fit the Wildtrak with the FOX HOSS 3.0 shock. We make a separate part for that shock; contact us and we will point you to it.
Installation
Bolt-on. The main mount shares the shock bolt, which is why the kit includes longer shock bolts and nuts. Additional bolts through the side plate keep the skid in the correct position at all times.

Which Bronco shocks does this fit?
The base model rear shock and the Sasquatch Bilstein rear shock. It does not fit the Wildtrak's FOX HOSS 3.0 shock, which has its own skid kit.
What does the skid protect?
The bottom of each rear shock and the rear axle shock mounts.
Does the kit cover both sides?
Yes. It includes two welded skid assemblies with the bolts for each.
How does it mount?
Through the shock bolt, using the longer bolts supplied, plus side mount bolts through the side plate.
What is it made of?
