Rear Shock Guard Kit (FOX 3.2 Live Valve Internal Bypass) Gen 3 Raptor

Description

This kit is designed to completely cover and protect the FOX Factory Race Series 3.2 Live Valve Internal Bypass Shocks for the 3rd generation Ford F-150 Raptor

• The Black Mounting Clamp is made from durable plastic and fits around the upper part of the shock body and acts as a guide piece to the floating shock guard body to ensure it stays aligned and limits damage to the shock from the moving guard

• The Billet Mounting Clamp on the lower backside of guard is designed to fit the profile of the eyelet so the bottom of the shaft stays secure when the shock extends and compresses

• Each guard is precision laser cut in-house out out of aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum tubing for ultimate strength, durability & defense   

• It's highly recommended to combine these guards with our Gen 3 Raptor Shock Skids - this dynamic duo will provide you with the best protection and coverage against rock damage when you off-road  

• These guards will only fit (2021-2025) Raptors that have after-market shocks with part numbers of 883-06-183

⚠️ WARNING:
 Improper cleaning can permanently damage the anodic coating on billet aluminum parts, causing fading, staining, or discoloration. 

SOAPS / CLEANERS THAT DAMAGE :
High-pH (alkaline) soaps, degreasers, and acidic wheel cleaners can fade, stain, or strip anodized aluminum, especially when they contain sodium hydroxide (lye) or other strong acids. Heavy-duty fast-acting alkaline cleaners designed for engine bays or wheels should not be used on anodized surfaces.

❌ WHAT TO AVOID :
High-pH (alkaline) cleaners
• Heavy-duty degreasers
• Wheels / engine bay cleaners
• Oven cleaners (e.g., Yellow Cap, Easy-Off)
• Products containing sodium hydroxide (lye)
• Damage the anodic coating 
Hot Surfaces
• Never wash in direct sunlight, as heat accelerates chemical damage
 Acidic cleaners
• Wheel cleaners with strong acids
• Nitric or sulfuric-based cleaners
• Aggressive aluminum cleaners
 Aluminum brighteners or etchers

• Products designed for raw or polished aluminum can strip the anodized coating

✅ HOW TO PROTECT ANODIZED ALUMINUM:

pH-neutral soaps 
• only use cleaners with a pH between 6–8
Wash on cool surfaces
• Avoid direct sunlight or hot parts
Test small areas first
• Always try new products on a small, hidden area
Safe Alternatives:
• Isopropyl alcohol (used carefully and sparingly)
• Mild Automotive Car Wash Soap
