Description
A rear lower shock skid kit for the 2021–2024 Ram TRX, made from 3/16" steel. It protects the bottom of each rear shock and the rear axle shock mounts from rock damage, and bolts on through the shock bolt.
The lower shock mount sits under the axle, where it takes hits from rocks and ledges that the rest of the axle clears. A crushed mount or a damaged shock body ends the day. This skid gives that corner something solid to slide on.

Why Protect The Lower Shock Mount
The rear shocks bolt to the axle at their lowest point. On rough or rocky ground, that mount and the bottom of the shock are exposed to direct strikes. A damaged mount can bend the shock eye or tear at the axle bracket, and a damaged shock body can leak.
The skid wraps the bottom of the shock and the axle mount. The impact goes into the steel skid instead of the shock or the bracket, and the skid slides the truck over the obstacle.

Fitment
Fits the Ram TRX, model years 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Installation
Bolt-on. The main mount shares the shock bolt, which is why the kit includes longer shock bolts and nuts. An additional bolt on the back plate keeps the skid in the correct position at all times.
