Front Suspension going together

The new fabricated front A-Arms and knuckles are all done in the CAD design phase and tooling has been finished.  We are starting to build the first set of arms now for test fit.  They look good and should get the front suspension done by the end of this week.  Lots of progress on cooler mounts and getting the by-pass tubes set on the rear shock bodies.  The cab top was cut off and we sent the parts out to be sand blasted and ready to paint the Molten Orange that the truck will end up.  We should put the cab back on in a couple of days and start the plumbing final stuff.  The dash and center console work is nearly done and now we will start mounting the radio, electrical switches and all of the internal controls to make the truck work.

Thanks

Greg

Rear Cage progress and Engine is in

Well we have made lots of progress on the build of the truck.  We finally figured out how to work the engine mounts and got the engine in the truck so we can start working on the front shock mounts and cage stuff.  The rear cage is coming along nice now and is nearly done too.  We have the camera crew in the shop this Friday so we are planning ot cut the roof off and do the upper cage welding while they are there to shoot all of that.  Thanks to you all for your help and support on the project.  Look for new pictures.

Thanks

Greg

Raptor Meeting at Ford and Phase 3

The Raptor meeting went well and we cleared some road blocks for the team on the build side.  Parts are starting to flow in now to get things moving.  Today the parts from the DST warehouse showed up on 8 pallets.  We should have a bunch of what is needed to get things done now.  Look for Phase 3 pictures in the gallery.

Thanks

Greg

Main cage nearly done

We have made tons of progress on the inner cab cage stuff.  We are at about 90% of the main fab done there now.  We have the seat mounts done all but the 3rd seat now and only some welding there.  A few more tubes and then we cut the cab off the top to weld it all up and finalize the inner stuff.  We are getting ready to start on the rear cage now.  The fuel cell should be here next week and we have been looking at drawings for the front suspension to be done.  We should start cutting some sample parts for the front a-arms and the knuckles in another week or so too.  Check out the pictures in the gallery.

Thanks

Greg

Sliding seat mount built

We got the sliding drivers side seat mount designed and most of it done.  Should have seat mounts done in the cab by end of this week now.  Adding roof tubes and final straight support tubes getting in the truck.  Looking at front cage now for basic tubes and realized that the engine is BIG.  we will have to be careful with placement so its not harder then it needs to be to change an engine.  Keep checking the pictures gallery for progress.  Updates daily now.

Thanks

Greg
